Ian Buchan

Ian joined Nevis in 2008 and was promoted to Associate Director in 2010. Ian is part of the investment team and since joining Nevis has been involved in the acquisitions of Woodside Power, Dieselec Generators, Thistle Generators, Shetland Wind Power, Clyde Space and the Invincible Spring Company.

Ian works with a number of the Nevis portfolio companies and has acted as interim Finance Director of Dieselec and Thistle Generators and is a Non-Executive Director of Micro Spring & Presswork.

Prior to joining Nevis, Ian spent a year in Malawi working for the Clinton Hunter Development Initiative. Whilst there, he focused on investment into sustainable businesses in Malawi and Rwanda.

Ian qualified as a CA with PricewaterhouseCoopers and worked in their Assurance and Corporate Finance teams for five years. There he advised on a variety of mid-market transactions in a range of sectors.
