Hardie Polymers (“Hardie”) play an important role within the UK’s manufacturing supply chain as the leading independent distributor of engineering polymers in the UK where they source and distribute engineering polymers which are used in the manufacture of key components for the automotive, aerospace, medical and defence sectors. They pride themselves on being able to source any brand, grade or quantity from their network of over 350 international suppliers.
Business development during Nevis ownership
Hardie was established in 1924 and had been owned and operated by three generations of the Hardie family. When Fergus Hardie decided to sell the business, Nevis worked with the current management team, Isy Ferguson and Bartosz Komanski, to buy it.
In November 2021, Isy stepped up to the role of Managing Director with Fergus moving to Chairman. Bartosz moved to the role of Commercial Director.
Moved to a new 12,000 sq ft warehouse and offices.
Established a Dutch subsidiary to aid trade with the EU.
Doubled stockholding to help customers get what they need quickly.
